TRANSFORMATION IS ANYTHING BUT FLAT THANKS TO UNDERWILD

01/01/2006

Underwild is delighted to announce that it has completed its latest project to create a stunning warehouse style apartment with open plan living space and Mezzanine floor.

The plan to create a modern, open plan space in what was originally a dark and cramped flat required the complete demolition of the existing interior fabric of the building, made more challenging as a result of no vehicle access to the main entrance of the building and no parking facilities being available..

In addition to the challenge of removing existing building waste from the site, big steels also had to be incorporated in the town centre build to enable the new Mezzanine flooring to be created.

The project is the latest house renovation that Underwild has been appointed to undertake, and a measure, believes company Managing Director Daniel Potter of the company’s growing reputation for build excellence, and the ability for the company to incorporate challenging design requirements, such as the cantilevered, suspended stair case in this latest project.

“We are delightewd with the way this project has turned out. The brief was to turn what was an extremely dark and dingy flat into a modern, bright and open plan warehouse apartment and that’s what we have done. Throughout the project there was an overriding emphasis on attention to detail and we were delighted to deliver ahead of schedule and on budget,” said Daniel who established Underwild Design and Construction in 2005.

“The Client was extremely pleased with the finished project and said we had achieved the exact look that he was after, to create a stylish open, living space that was more likely to be seen in London’s Docklands than in a small Cornish fishing village.”
